This is the first year I have not worked Anime Expo in a while. To be perfectly frank, I didn't miss it - I really needed the year off.
So instead, the wife and I deprived ourselves of such creature comforts as sleep. For the first time, I had experienced sleep-deprivation induced hallucinations - it's a strange experience, not recommended unless you've slept well.
In any case, lesson learned: GET A HOTEL ROOM.
